Sugarfree, in more ways than one, is a history in my books
1. ‘Sa Wakas’ ang kauna-unahang original cd na binili ko sa buong buhay ko. hehe. i remember, summer vacation of 2003 yun, i was having my ojt sa isang firm sa The Enterprise Center. pagkakuha ko nung unang allowance ko from the company, lakad agad ako papuntang music one sa greenbelt to buy the album. Di ko alam na dun na pala nagsimula ang pagiging hardcore (hehe) fan ko ng banda
2. Sugarfree lang ang tanging artist na kumpleto ako ng albums. Lahat ng apat, ingat na ingat yun. hehe.
for me naman, embarassing as it is to admit it, anne (their former assistant) GAVE me a copy of “sa wakas” which i NEVER opened till after i booked sugarfree in ilocos last summer and really got to know the boys and love their music. i bought “tala-arawan” and eventually “dramachine”. in fact, i ended up having two copies of “tala arawan” but marcus of eheads asked for the other one hehe.
“tala-arawan” is one of the few local albums i’ve ever bought (being in the business, i usually get albums for free!) and, i believe, the first local album i’ve ever had autographed (first by jal, eventually by ebe). that’s a big thing considering i’ve been working with local artists for 13 years now.
and considering i managed eraserheads for two years, i’m not a fan. i enjoy and appreciate their music and totally understand why they’re considered the best band in the land -because of the effect each of their songs have on people and how every songs speaks to the fan. yan ang sugarfree for me (naks!). i have a favorite line in and my life relates to almost every sugarfree song
sila ang (without comparing them to the eheads -just the effect they have on people…) eraserheads ko.

The release of the DVD has not been resolved. Anyway, another concert is coming; August 27 and 28 (yes, most likely two nights!) at the Music Museum most likely. Watch out for that!

so happy and excited kc gustong gusto ko na talaga sila mapanood,tanghali pa lang ng 28, nkaempake na ko, chong prepared na kulang na lang
si victory liner (yung bus), kaso alas kwarto pa ng madaling araw skedyul ng biyahe tapos eto na duamting ang 29 ng septymbre ng madaling araw na
luluwas na ako pamanila para sa concert, ayun bumagyo ng pagkalakas lakas!
masaklap ayaw na akong paalisin ng mama ko dumagdag pa ang lola ko na kesyo mabibinat daw ako kc bawal daw maulanan ang mga bagong panganak!
iniyakan ko talaga yung concert nila na hindi ako nakapunta, 6 hours kc biyahe mula samin to manila and i wont mind the travel

when i first heard the song burnout sa CD ng brother ko it was really great song im still listening that song everyday and hindi ako nagsasawa sa kanta na yan
sugarfree is such a great contribution in our music industry..their songs were truly inspiring because it reveals a romantic set, which was rarely seen in the other bands…in other words the songs are expressed in a unique way…grabe it is heart felt though it is rock in style, and the band members were really nice, jal taguibao looks like suplado and very serious pero the best..kabilib tlaga he has a nice attitude…and one thing na nakakailib is that, despite of his hectic life, he can still manage everything…so what i wish for him and for the rest of the band:they will have a good health to continue their career…

haay buhaaay…..kung ayaw nya skin ndi ko naman sya pipilitin medio bata pa naman ako may mabibighani pa skin siguro..oo nga tama sila..one of the greatest band eh eheads..and mula non wala na akong nagustuhang banda gaya ng pagkagusto ko don sa nauna..until one day nagdrop by ako sa house ng cousin ko,orgmate din,and best friend na rin kase partner in crime kase kame palage at don ko narinig ung music nyo sa cd nya,siyempre dahil sa mayamang hampas lupa ako aun tuwa ng nakikipakinig sa cd ng tropa..sobrang natuwa ako sa mga songs nyo kase ndi ko naman alam kong baket palage nlng na parang patama kanta nyo nong era ng “kung ayaw mo na skin” aun kagagaling ko lang sa hiwalayan,pambihira..ngayon ko lang ginawa to,na maiparating nararamdaman ko sa aking bandang hinangaan dhil nong era kc ng eheads ndi ganito ka accessible,sana mabasa nyo ito..sobrang respeto ko sa artist na tulad nyo in your own way ndi kayo napapagod maging inspirasyon sa mga kabataan na tulad ko(young adult pala bente sinco na nga pala ako nxt month,hehe i almost forgot)JUST KEEP IT UP GUYS..WE LOVE YOU..

Sir Jal is a faculty in UP Manila where I studied and some parts of my college life I worked as a Student Assistant. My bf and I love Sugarfree to death, so when my boss would ask to have documents signed in Social Studies Department (dun ung department ni Jal) I’d peek muna sa faculty room to see is Sir Jal will be around to sign the “receive” copy of the document. Swerte kapag andun siya!
My college friends do not give a damn about the silly signature on a office document, but you should see how my BF would shriek when I show him the signature(s) I collected for him (I have to photocopy the document, siyempre baka magalit si Dean Nicolas)

right now, among all the songs in mornings and airports album, im really hooked with this one.
according to jal (during an interview), all his songs (for sugarfree, at least) are fictional. however, i do recall him mentioning that tummyache was about heartache but he just didn’t wanna call it that, limbo was about his insomnia, and martyr was about someone in his family. maybe you can post that question on the mailing list or email him at Jal@WeAreSugarfree.com and ask him
